    My Instagram 'best nine' - one way to look back on the year: lots of stitching; Devon; dear old Mollie; May Morris from before lockdown; Miss Buncle; an Edinburgh street near us. Some sad times but happy ones too.

    If you're very quick you can catch floral designer Shane Connolly's talk on Constance Spry given recently at the Garden Museum but available to watch online for a small fee.

    I found it fascinating and would love to visit the forthcoming Spry exhibition at the museum (opening at the end of March, all being well) and read a biography or two.

    Many months ago I bought myself an Advent calendar from The Stitchery, and day 1's delight was the makings for this little chap.
