Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you and yours from Alberta, Canada. We had snow fall last night , it looks so pretty outside and for once I am organized. I am looking forward to spending time with my children and grandchildren. I hope that your Christmas is splendid.

Toffeeapple

I wish you merriment too! I did enjoy Nigel's Chronicles but I have yet to rattle any pans.

Fran

These look delicious! I dithered about buying Nigel’s Chronicles and didn’t. As I am unable to do much at present, especially cooking maybe that’s as well because I would be frustrated at only having one working hand! But next year.....might have to have a post Christmas book buying jaunt.

Cornflower

Thank you, Anji, and the same to you!

Cornflower

Thank you, Toffeeapple. There is much in the book that is suitable for year-round cooking, and much to savour in the writing alone.

Cornflower

I do hope your hand is mended soon, Fran, and things aren't too awkward for you at this busy time of year.

Callmemadam

Merry Christmas to you and your family! You certainly feed them well.

Dark Puss

Happy Christmas and much love to all of you from all of us in NW3! I made Nigel Slater's chutney from his Christmas Chronicles last week and pretty good it is. Peter x

Val

Merry Christmas!

Freda

I think I must take another look at that book and perhaps use my Christmas voucher on it. I hope you and your family had a really lovely time.

CC

Wishing you Happy Christmas, belatedly. Because I just popped in here. :-)

Across the pond, we had snow, then ice, then snow, then wind for Christmas! Certainly a real Old Fashioned Christmas! Happily, we kept power.
