May Morris in the Tapestry Room at Kelmscott Manor (1912), Mary Annie Sloane.
Books, needlework, flowers, a spinning wheel, and the window open to a blue-and-white day beyond.
This watercolour features in a forthcoming exhibition about May Morris, and there is an accompanying book.
Thank you for the information. I will be in London in January and have added this exhibition to my list of things to see.

What a lovely picture to start the day and most enjoyable links. Even though the exhibition is out of reach, reading about it will be most enjoyable. Thank you! and can I confess that in-spite of reading about William Morris and enjoying his work I was quite oblivious to May ...so thank you for the introduction.

This could be the perfect exhibition for me and my sisters who are meeting in London for a few days next month. Thanks for links.
