The young man for whom I made these socks takes size 13 in shoes; the last picture shows my size 4 for scale.
I used 101g of wool in total, both yarns from dyers whose shops are shut at the moment: the main colour is Great Woolly Owl Freya Sock 'Once upon a time in the North', and the contrast is Mellifera Yarns Cash Twist Sock 'Midnight'. The project bag came from Jenna Rose.
Back to small socks now!
Lovely. I wear a size 10 (41 European) and I have the small feet in out family. Still I have been enjoying knitting rack of them a pair of socks for Xmas. Definitely contrast heels and toes.

I did enjoy making these, but they just seemed to be never-ending, so well done you, LoriAngela, for your Christmas knitting!
Most of the socks I make are for myself or my daughters, so size 4 or 5 (37/38) - a breeze compared to this giant's pair!

Lucky recipient!

Both my steadiest sock recipients (son and husband) have size 13 feet! I am very particular about buying skeins of sock yarn that have lots of yardage!

Hi, love the blog by the way. Can you tell me how you get the socks so neat and flat. Do you have 'stretchers,, o something?

Thank you!
No stretchers, I just soak them in warm water with a little wool wash for 10 or 15 minutes, then smooth them out on a towel to get them in shape and leave them flat to dry.
