Over on Cornflower Books today I'm talking about neurosurgeon Henry Marsh's memoir Do No Harm: Stories of Life, Death, and Brain Surgery. The book came out a couple of years ago and won prizes and plaudits galore, and rightly so as it's superb.
For some of Henry Marsh's story and to get a feel for the man himself you may like to listen to his Private Passions - again from a little while ago - where in conversation with Michael Berkeley he discusses his work and his love of music.
I think I am too squeamish to read this book but I will listen to his interview.

Oh thank you for this link Karen. It is my favourite programme and I seem to have missed this one.

Have both Private Passions and Essential Classics (radio 3, weekdays) as podcasts. Great listening for car journeys, such interesting people interviewed.
