A sprig of the Autumn cherry - prunus x subhirtella Autumnalis - I couldn't get last week, now delighting the eye (and the nose, if you hold it close enough) on my desk.

Every year I see this growing in other people's gardens and think 'I must plant some' along with witch hazel, another scented winter flower....one day!
