Betjeman's Best British Churches was too big to take to Suffolk with us, but happily it comes in app form, too, and that did the job, telling us what to look out for as we toured as many wonderful churches as we could.
Here are a few glimpses for you, but click on the names beneath the pictures to see the churches' extensive entries on the excellent Suffolk Churches website.
To finish, Philip Larkin reading his poem Church Going.
Thanks for the link to Suffolk churches. The church in Great Ashfield hold special memories for me.

That site holds a wealth of information, whether for the casual browser or those like you, Mary, with deeper connections to the churches listed. It is truly a labour of love.

Betjeman is a joy to read on churches, and able to bring him along with today's technology you must have had a wonderful trip around these. I was taken to several in the area, including Blythburgh and Southwold when a teenager and never forgotten the soaring roofs and wooden angels.

That sounds like an app that I would actually like and use, thank you so much.
