I should have explained, Nan!
Monty Don is a writer and broadcaster and presenter of the long-running television programme 'Gardeners' World' which is filmed in his own garden. He always has his dogs for company, and the elder of the two retrievers, Nigel, has become a scene-stealer and star in his own right.

Thanks, Deirdre. I always enjoy Monty Don's writing and I'm sure this book - with its dog content - will be every bit as good as his others.
