Purely by chance, all things Irish converged in these socks: the pattern is called Dublin Bay, the wool is Cork-based Hedgehog Fibres' Sock Yarn ('Wish'), and I finished them on St. Patrick's Day. In real life the colour is more peacock green than emerald, and it's richer than the picture suggests. That said, gallons of dye came out when I washed them and I fear there's more to come next time, so be aware of that should you choose this yarn.
This was a straightforward knit, and a good one to try if you're prone to getting little holes at the 'corners' when you pick up the heel stitches because you knit into the openwork section on both sides so any gap becomes a design feature! My project notes are here.
Gorgeous color! Beautiful sock.

Thank you, Mary. It's a good pattern and a simple knit - I shall make more!

Are you able to wash your knitted socks in the washing machine or is it still hand wash only? I used to enjoy making socks, but gave up as no one wanted to create extra work with hand washing. Shame the dye runs on those pictured, as the colour is glorious. I assumed modern yarns would be more colour resistant these days.

One of those happy pairings! Thanks, Rose.

This wool is superwash, so I could have put it in the machine, but I usually do my socks by hand, and as they just needed a soak before being smoothed into shape after finishing, I put them in the basin.
As to dye run, every so often I find a skein from a small dyer which gives off a lot of colour. Typically they are the most saturated ones, and I take care to keep them apart from other things when washing, but it is a pity when your socks end up considerably lighter than you expected them to be, or your hands are stained from rinsing them multiple times!
