Wreathed

If you've followed this blog for a long time you'll have seen quite a few of these -

the front door wreath made from whatever the garden will yield.

It seems fitting that at this turning point of the year we gather greenery and look forward, so decking our door are sprigs of pine, ivy, rosemary, bay, lavender, box, periwinkle, pyracantha, and one or two rosebuds.

Here's to light, and growth, and longer days!

Solstice at 4.49 am this morning, so for over twelve hours we in the northern hemisphere have been tilting back towards the sun.

Your wreath must have the perfect winter scent; pine and herbs combined. Lovely to see on these dark, grey days. Looking forward to lighter times. Happy Christmas to you and your family.
