I learned today that in Iceland the 31st of December is called Gamlársdagur or Old Year's Day, so to bid farewell to 2015 here's an auto-generated collage of recent pictures.
Thank you for visiting Cornflower throughout the year, for all your comments, links, and helpful suggestions, and above all for being such a pleasant community. All the best to you!
We call it 'Oud Jaar' and 'Oude Jaars Avond',which translated would be very similar to the Icelandic: Old Year and Old Year's Eve.
I loved visiting you. Best Wishes to you and yours.

Thank you for providing such a pleasant place to sit and read. May 2016 bring you and your family all that you wish yourselves.
And many more pairs of socks.......

Hmm, I am not sure if you would always put me in the pleasant community corner! However you know that generally my claws are sheathed and that my love for you is unbounded. I hope that sometimes my suggestions and comments strike a chord or even (gasp!) perhaps put you on a new track.

Happy new year and thank you for all the inspiration. I've just finished the Vedbaek shawl and will start the Just Knit It tomorrow, a fitting beginning to the new year after a sober evening in with aged dog who is petrified of fireworks.
