Prompted by Barbara's comment on this post, I thought I'd put together a list of yarn dyers/sellers I've used whose products I like. If I've already knitted something with the yarn in question I'll link to the post or Ravelry project page, if not it means the skein is still in the drawer awaiting its turn on the needles. Some of the following may be familiar to you, some perhaps less so, but I hope you'll find a source of good things among them.
Mellifera - cushy socks for Mr. C.
Fondant Fibre - One Fine Day socks (and a little 'dog').
Skein - two 'Just Knit It' scarves, here and here. Although this yarn is coming from Australia, exchange rates have been favourable lately and shipping costs reasonable.
Island Wool Company - the Vedbaek shawl. I'm making another Vedbaek at the moment but this time using Blacker Swan - it's lovely stuff.
Lanitium ex machina - I have a skein of Lothlorien with a project in mind.
Great Woolly Owl - Skedaddle socks and South Riding mittens.
Leading Men Fiber Arts - socks currently on the needles.
Countess Ablaze - the Present cowl.
The Uncommon Thread - foxy socks.
The Wool Barn - summery socks and Summer's lease socks.
Hedgehog Fibres - Flower Power socks and Teacup socks (A Yarn Story stocks this).
The picture was taken in Purl Soho.
(To be continued.)
Thank you......although my bank manager may not think the same way! It's wild and windy outside so will lose myself in all this woolly wonderfulness and colour.
