We've had socks for a fine day, now here's a pair for a stormy night.
These are Skedaddle by Lena Gjerald - of the A Wee Bit Knitty* podcast and blog - made in Osiris Sock 'It was a dark and stormy night' from Great Woolly Owl, with a little Madelinetosh Tosh Sock 'Ink' as the contrast. They were a very straightforward knit with a twisted rib cuff and an easy braid/cable pattern running down the back, and I've already cast on another pair.
*Look out for Gustav, Lena's lovely flat-coated retriever.
Beautiful socks! I really like the braid on them...nice touch!

You need a 'like' button! I love those and would like to knit some. Thanks for all the links.

These are lovely, as ever. I've abandoned my socks for a shawl at the moment and it's making me wonder if I'm really just a sock knitter, especially as I'm consumed by envy looking at this latest pair of yours!

These were fun (and a quick-ish knit as they are short, as written), and I'm really enjoying the second pair, too.
Maybe you need to 'scratch the itch', put aside the shawl for a bit and cast on the socks!
