Another 'Literary Hottie' from Jane Brocket's The Gentle Art of Knitting, this one teamed with a very good Mary Stewart (re. which see this post), and made with Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Aran in navy from What Ewe Need, and shell buttons from Wool & Buttons.
Here it is with its fellows,
and there's a fourth example underway.
Seems like you're working on one hot water bottle cover per family member Karen. The temperature must steadily be on its way down in your part of the world to have these on your needles.
Now I'm wondering what shade of blue the fourth one is?

It is indeed blue, Helen!

You have inspired me to take up knitting needles again, after a rest of probably over twenty years. I didn't dare to start with the socks you wrote about, and have taken on a pullover instead. Making steady progress I am proud to say. I could start the Crystal Cave too come to think of it.

Wonderful, Cath, and the very best of luck to you!
