Another perfect marriage of books and yarn, this time two skeins of Skein merino/cashmere fingering (Wintertide and Gingko, bought at Loop),

Just bought that book!
It just seemed to call my name.
Happy to see that you're reading it.

I hope you'll enjoy it as much as I did, Pamela - so far it's my absolute 'best' book of the year, and Mr. C. loved it too.

Such an intriguing title. I too will be a follower and look into this one for my next read.
The "Gingko" shade does bear the colours of sodden earth and wet skies. Appropriate for a winterish item that you may be planning Karen.
And I can't help but notice that these particular skeins have found their way to you from our corner of the world.

Have you ever raved about a book quite so much as this one Karen? I am not sure! I think the moment has come for me to purchase a copy tomorrow in the hope that it may proffer some much needed calming of my utterly shattered referendum nerves. How are yours bearing up?

Apologies for 'going on'!
You're right about needing a distraction at the moment, Anne ...

They have, Helen, and I've been enjoying the podcasts which Kristen, the dyer behind Skein, broadcasts every week from her corner of NSW.

Let's hope the sun smiles on us tomorrow - unthirldum.

Or even unthirldom! Sorry, it's past my bedtime.
