Friday flowers, here and elsewhere

Here, the Blush Noisette rose is still going strong.

Elsewhere, Mary's embroidering cornflowers*,

Victoria's been smelling them,

and Freda's swooning (I'm not surprised!).

*Do look at her earlier ones, too.

Isn't crewel work a magnificent way of capturing nature?
The jacket is gorgeous.
I myself have been contemplating starting a blanket/throw called "Flowers for Elizabeth".
Based on very similar lines to the Elizabethan jacket; but I wonder if I'll ever complete it in time to enjoy it.
Dare I mention the cat getting her claws into it!
