In Oxford last week, Mr. C. revived his age-old punting skills to take me on the river.
Sign at The Cherwell Boathouse - lunch there was excellent, by the way.
I doubt I'll be spending the rest of the summer in as pleasant or relaxing a fashion as this, but I am going to take some time off.
Bye for now.
This is true summer living!
Was Mr C donning a boater hat and you a parasol?

I love punting, as long as I am the one lounging at the front (as a Cambridge person) I'm glad you had a nice day

Oh, how lovely. Those languid, green Oxford waters, overhung with leafage - so different from the clear whisky-tinted burns of home. Rather better for punting, however.
Enjoy your summer break.
