The view from the queue

My view from the queue for this morning's Kate Atkinson event at The Edinburgh International Book Festival in Charlotte Square Gardens. That dark cloud moved away and the sun shone,

there were lots of happy children about as the Gruffalo was there (there was also a little child in Gruffalo costume!), and I also spotted Fay Weldon and Philip Ardagh in the gardens.

This will be my home from home over the next couple of weeks.

Do you have any information on the chairs shown in your pictures? Is there a chair/quote for each letter of the alphabet?

I think there are about half a dozen different designs, Pamela, and I'll try to get a few more pictures or information for you.
