You may have seen this post which showed our panel of The Great Tapestry of Scotland when I'd completed my first bit of stitching. Since then the panel has gone to other members of the group and has come on a lot - the picture above shows it as it stands.
Here is Flora - as we've called our lady - and my task now is to embroider her jacket, so I'm choosing colours and looking at stitch options (please feel free to offer suggestions for both the body and the collar and cuffs).
This is a detail of her skirt and of the Violet Jacob poem on the cloth which swathes her.
Sandy's sock and gaiter.
One of the badges along the top of the piece.
We must be finished by the 23rd. of June, so there's no time to lose.
Wow! THis looks great. How exciting. I missed your first post on it but am pleased to catch up on it now. I love the designm, the pome and the vibrant colours. It will look great when finished. God uck with the colour and cuffs and body ... I am useless at imaging colours but will send your link to my sister in the US - she does something called punch needle, which seems similar, she knwos about sitches and had has a great eye for colour! :)

Great! Thankyou, Marianne. I'll be working with a range of colours already provided, but as to stitches, if I can achieve a tweed effect, that would be ideal.
