Very pretty, hope that this bodes well for all the other flowers. Presumably at some point much later you cut the hay meadow down and then it all starts again next year. I guess the challenge is keeping the rough grass at bay, is that right?

The border was carefully weeded before we began, and what's been sown there is mixture of flowers only - details here with a note on cultivation: http://www.sarahraven.com/shop/pictorial-meadows-pastel-annual-mix.html (I don't expect it to be weed free but I'm hoping the unwanted will be kept to a minimum!).

Ooooh, I'm jealous! Inspired by those Sarah Raven programmes earlier this year I also sowed a wildflower border but only 1 tiny poppy has opened so far. I tell myself you live further south. And my border is distinctly shady . . .

I'm so glad the meadow idea is working, when everything is so late this year.
