I was in Oxford on Sunday, ostensibly to support Mr. C. who was playing cricket for his college's old boys' team - it must be said, his innings was a short one - but actually to have a wander round the town and meet a friend for tea.
My visit was, as usual, all too brief and I'd love to go back for a longer and more leisurely one, or try to get to Doors Open Day in September, perhaps. Still, a busy afternoon is better than nothing, and it was lovely to be in that beautiful city again.
Yes come back! If you make it before mid September you'll also catch Jenny Saville at Modern Art Oxford, and there are some nice cafes you might like, including Oxfork on Magdalen Road. Then there is a tiny, but lovely haberdashery on Blue Boar Lane and Albion Beatnik bookshop in Jericho bookshop is fun too, another half day would do it at a pinch..

You can be my guide, Chloe!
I'd love to come back, and hope it won't be long before I do.

I've just heard that cricket is becoming popular over here! I love it.

Normally I'd have been very happy to watch the whole match, but the draw of Oxford itself was too strong!
