There was much hilarity over the taking of these pictures as the daylight level here today hasn't risen above Stygian gloom setting - not conducive to vibrant photography. Alice was the model, while I tried to snap her wearing the mitts against various backgrounds including inconveniently moving Labradors, the piano keyboard and a window whose outlook was drear, and with 'props' such as a basket of hyacinths and a handy pine branch. In the end, the Christmas tree stayed still and toned in nicely enough, though its rather undecorated state is down to one set of lights having failed and replacements being awaited.
These shots were about the best of a dim bunch, but for a more accurate view of the colour of the finished articles click here (yarn and pattern details are also given there).
The mitts look lovely, you did a great job.

Lovely arm warmers. Has your daughter claimed them?
Merry Christmas x

I love wearing mitts like these....they really enhance my hands, keeping them warm and, oh, my hands look very youthful again too!LOL!
Hope you are getting some sunshine as we draw close to the shortest day and darkest time of the year here!

Thankyou, Anji. They were very easy, and quite quick to make, really, and one of those projects you can pick up and put down without having to note exactly where you've got to.

She has, Zoe, and she says she's feeling the benefit!

Still, grey and gloomy here, Lila, but we're looking forward to the shortest day and a smidgen more light from then onwards.
