You may remember this post. Well, look who's got the specs! Not the actual Peoples' Gregory Peck ones but a very similar pair, the change from my old glasses prompted in part by my hero, Gregory/Atticus, and partly by a yen for a new look (see this video - and note the "once nerdy, now cool" line).
This is, I think, only the second time that the camera-shy Cornflower has actually appeared on her own website - and isn't it difficult to take a picture of yourself?
From Dead Men's Spex or from somwehere else?
I agree greatly with you final comment, that is why I employ Morgana to take pictures of me; well maybe not the only reason ;-)

It's nice to be able to put a face with the words! I really like the new glasses. They look great on you!

Love your new specs! Suddenly feeling quite boring in my plain old functional wire-rimmed ones.

Love the new specs and I, too, like having a face to put with words (and voice, thanks to BBC Scotland).

Love the glasses. Its interesting how something so timeless can look so au courant.

They look really good on you! If I wore them I'd look like I hadn't changed my specs since the 1980s :-(

Barbara, I still do use my pair from the 80's but they are twice the size of these pretty ones!
Maybe now I can wear them again in public;-)

And isn't it funny that one of the few places we usually do self-portraits is in our bathrooms. Lovely to "see" you. Love the glasses.

Very cool!!

Beautiful! And the glasses are pretty nice too. ;)

Classic is always cool, and you have a classic beauty. Thanks for giving us a peak.

Love your new glasses! They are perfect for you. I am also partial to tortoise shell frames. And it is great to see your face. Now I can't remember what I guessed you looked like!

You should appear more often Karen, you look quite as lovely as you sound and the specs are excellent.

I agree with all the other comments. Love the specs. They look good on you. Very Cool!!

Although I've been reading for ages, I only found out your name last week, so how fitting now to have a face to go with it, beautiful!!
I also love the glasses, though not to follow suit - at present I am pleased my glasses are the shallow design because I can't see anything closer than 18" properly and keep looking under them for close work (and gazing at my new baby granddaughter!)... I know, I'm too cowardly (or young!?!) for bi-focals. And yet so short-sighted. Sigh!!

Wonderful to have a glimpse of you! and the cornflower blue bathroom too!
Always swoon over Gregory Peck! He was in a class above most!

My local optician.
(Can't imagine employing anyone to take a picture of me!!)

Congratulations on your new arrival!

Its just not fair that someone so off-the-chart talented, interesting, and accomplished is also so physically attractive. Having missed the first image of you on your site, I imagined that you might be a bit matronly, though in retroSPEC's, this makes no sense. You are truly blessed. Thank you for sharing your world. Love the glasses!
