Tweed-jacketed

 

    Apologies for the poor quality picture, but I couldn't walk past this tweed-jacketed chair in the Edinburgh branch of Anthropologie yesterday without taking a snap. The price is a not very comfortable £2,200!

I find it fairly ugly, and that's no reflection on your photography. I see there are two branches in London. If I'm near the one in Regent St I'll let you know what's in their window! Oh, but maybe you will see for yourself??

My tailor would make me a proper bespoke tweed suit for that price.

I wouldn't give it house-room, even at a fraction of the price! I have seen many chairs very beautifully upholstered in tweed, and I can imagine them round a log fire, in a library....
That was my first visit to the shop and I didn't know before that they sold books, including some to be found on the Cornflower shelves.

Itchy and scratchy, it's truly awful and someone has the brass neck to ask money for it, and real money at that. Has the world gone mad?

I agree with all the above. It's strange, but I've come across a link to this somewhere else recently - can't remember where. Didn't like it then either - but it is interesting. Sit on _wool_!???
