This is Fyberspates Scrumptious Lace (45% silk, 55% merino) in 'Volcanic Flames', complementing the cover of Hedwig's Journey by Frederik van Eeden.
With a thousand metres in the skein, knitting it up will be a journey in itself, and I've no idea what I might make with it - it arrived as a subscriber's gift from The Knitter magazine when I'd signed up in order to get some of Natalie's Knitting Vicar, but perhaps 'clerical pink' wouldn't have been my colour anyway?
This book sounds very interesting. . . I may have to recommend it to my book club! (The yarn is yummy, too!)

Gorgeous wool, love the shade and I had to look twice at the yardage! I've never used lace-weight before so I had no idea it went that far.
I love Knitter magazine but it costs $14.98 here so I drool over the articles in the bookshop and then put it back.
