~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I must say thankyou for all the comments. I so appreciate your interest, your knowledge, the links you give - everything! - and that you take the time to contribute to this site (and the other one) in the way that you do. For instance, on the last books and cakes post alone, there's a wealth of pancakes/hotcakes information and suggestions, maple syrup facts, and then the latest comment, from Sharon, who has actually travelled in the footsteps/paw prints of Steinbeck and Charley!
Rebecca says there, generously, that there's always so much to learn at Cornflower; well, that's probably true for me more than anyone, as putting the two blogs together every day has allowed me to learn an enormous amount about all sorts of things - and that's often down to you kind readers - so although I may not manage to say it often enough, or on an individual basis, thankyou!
A very welcome sight!
Two thanks to you! First, for a sign of spring when I am living in a place still covered in FEET of snow. Second...for your reading guides on both your blogs - they have provided me with a very long and delightful reading list for the future.
Those pussy willows are beautiful! I have not seen any growing in our hot humid coastal climate, only in florists' shops. Truly a sign of spring, those first forced branches brought indoors to bloom. Thanks, Cornflower!
I have seen plenty of hazel catkins out but yet to spot the pussy willow. For me a true sign that Spring is on the way.
Nothing like a good pile of books to look forward to!
