What lovely hyacinths! You're better at them than the Provincial Lady was. Snowdrops are out here in Dorset and it's snowing on them.

Beth

I can just about smell those hyacinths! What lovely photos/flowers!

We have about three feet of snow on the ground (and just got another six or so inches yesterday). It is amazing to read about springtime and anything green budding under these circumstances...

No snowdrops here yet either, but l am looking at wonderful white hyacinths like yours, and marveling at the beauty and the scent. Refreshing to the spirit.

Jennifer

I didn't have any flowers in the house and I was so missing them seeing everybody's beautiful winter flowers, that I went out and bought one white hyacinth. I just love them and the scent, oh the scent. It truly has transformed my kitchen this last week.

LoriAngela

Thanks for sharing your gorgeous hyacinths. I love them but can't have them in the house because of their strong scent. I do have snowdrops at my front door.

Feeling a bit like the Provincial Lady, I potted tulips and croci a number of weeks ago. These were not bulbs special ordered from "Somebody of Haarlem", but humble discount bulbs purchased late last fall at a local department store. They are just starting to make an appearance. Whether they bloom remains to be seen!

I like your comment about the expressive hands.
