The color names are wonderful. They sound like an incantation when you list them. And the scarf will be lovely.

Darlene

Such a lovely and thoughtful gift, Mr Cornflower knows the way to a crafter's heart.

Fran

Such evocative names, such a glorious design. I look forward to seeing the scarf progress.

Jennifer

So beautiful, I find myself even more in love with some yarns after I find out their names. Can't wait to see your new projects.

What a beautiful gift. In September, at the I Knit Weekend, I was lucky enough to hear Alice Starmore speaking about the sources of her inspiration. I was delighted (and not altogether surprised, given the names of some of her shades) to learn that as well as designing yarns and patterns, she also works for the RSPB.

What a wonderful project for the winter. The colours and their names are lovely - evoctive of earth, sea and sky.

probablyjane

Beautiful in all ways! I look forward to seeing it as it progresses.

Nicole

Oooh, what a lovely gift. Those yarns are truly beautiful, aren't they? And I love the names too!

I was wondering if my package eventually made it's way to you?

Nicole

Cornflower

Not yet, Nicole, but hopefully soon.

They look edible, yum. You've definitely got to keep that once you've made it, I'm impressed by the intent to even start such a complicated and lovely thing.

I'm just "rediscovering" your blog again after a long absence of blog reading ... had to laugh at the bookshelves upset. Sigh. My bookshelves are also full, and I think I may need to "stop." LOL
Thank you for posting your prezzie (yarn/scarf) -- I'm off to look at her site now.

Santa deserves some special cookies and milk for delivering that gift!! Wowie!! Gorgeous, gorgeous!!
