It's tricky to photograph a short piece of work on a short circular needle, but nevertheless here's a progress shot on the scarf.
Capturing the colours accurately is just as frustratingly hard, but these pictures are reasonably true to life as I move on up the lion motifs with corncrake and the vivid red rattle.
If you have time you could stravaig over to Virtual Yarns for a wee minute and read all about the colours - it's fascinating!
Gorgeous, glorious scarf! Please post a photo when it is finished.
And Happy New Year!

Isn't it amazing how skeins of wool form a gorgeous motif. I'll enjoy watching your project grow!

Isn't it exciting beginning a new piece of work. It looks beautiful. Do you stop knitting every few rows smooth the work and admire the progress.? A good new year when it comes.
Thank you for your thoughtful and creative blog.
