It started as a mild flirtation, nothing more. Then, in all innocence, I got the book. With that I entered dangerous waters, was swept away by the rip-tide of passion and before I could stop myself I had cast on,
and what you see here really is but a trifle, though it may resemble this hat, in which case you might conclude that I have started making the matching scarf, but I couldn't possibly comment except to say that I told you it could get serious ....
Ah, to be swept away on the waves of pale, silvery colors and the froth of knit, purl patterns. Lovely colors.

Ah, one of my favourite books (I love the social history side as well as the knitting). Your piece looks like a winter landscape, flint glinting through snow...

Ah, (it seems to be today's inital word) I had wondered what had happened to Bohus. Looks lovely, I suppose it would just be catty of me to ask what you have given up in order to take this project on?

Honest, Guv., I'm only doing the odd row here and there - just 'squeezing it in' around other things (and I used it as a sort of productivity/incentive bonus when writing the Christmas cards!).

Well don't let me catch you at it again! Time is an incompressible fluid you know.

Earthy neutrals make up my favourite palette and this pattern is just gorgeous, as is your model!
