Yesterday I photographed a wall of Virginia creeper, brilliant in the autumn sun. The shades from green to vivid scarlet seemed to be in stripes....and I immediatly thought of a patchwork quilt, or a blanket knitted in textured stitches. One day I would love to use my many photos to inspire some creative work.

The colours at this time of year are so inspiring, not to mention fleeting! The fabrics are a lovely way of extending the season.
