I finished my 'O' a few days ago and sent it off to London to take its place in the mystery poem. But will it be accepted? My use of stranding has resulted in an interesting textural effect - it almost resembles quilting - so while it looks fine, it may not fit in with its neighbours quite as well as it might; all those smooth, perfectly uniform letters may turn their backs on this maverick one!
But now that that knitting obligation has been met I can get on with the red socks which are simple enough and have only to suit a daughter's taste (actually, that makes them quite hard...).
They acepted mine even though I'd singed it when blocking it, so please don't worry. I saw lots of squares at the I-Knit weekender: some were perfect, some were strange, all were destined to be used.

I sent my 'O' off a week and a half ago and am worried that it hasn't made it there yet. It has so far to travel from Seattle to London.
But, it's done and there seems to be another one just like it- the same red and cream colors. Maybe I'll claim the other- the rows are more even. But, as you say- on to more knitting!

My stranded knitting always does that, which is one reason I try to avoid the technique.
