No flowers? I guess the reconstruction of the famous peat beds means that some of the primula species that one might expect to see in flower (P. whitei springs to mind) are currently lurking in some hidden nursery bed. Were there no Hamamelis mollis cv. in flower? From your photographs the RBG all looks lovely as usual.
