Oh heck! First of, book a restaurant. All hands to the pump - it's got to stop raining soon. It has here in Perthshire @ 5pm so I'm sure dry weather is heading south. Happy Birthday to him!

Anne

Oh Dear. The rain has dried up on the west coast. Give the friends mops and buckets. Look out the insurance policy.Have a piece of birthday cake. We'll just talk amongst ourselves. Good luck.

rosie

Oh, how frustrating for you! You do all the above but, somewhere along the line, you find a quiet corner all of your own, pour yourself a G&T/brew yourself a pot of the finest tea and have 10 minutes of sheer self-indulgence. Hope Mr Cornflower has a wonderful day, it certainly won't be one that he'll forget...

Carol

Sounds like its time for a stiff drink along with the birthday cake.
A very Happy Birthday to Mr. Cornflower ..... and I hope the rain lets up very soon. You will not forget this birthday in years to come thats for sure.

Rebecca

Oh Karen, oh dear, oh dear. I am sending positive, drying vibes your way and crossing my fingers.

jpicardie

I'm so sorry to hear about the flood. Mrs Noah would probably pour herself a stiff drink... Hope you get dried out, and that the sun shines brightly upon the birthday celebrations.

Nan

we've got that same rain. Not continuous but every day. Happy Birthday to your fellow!! A Leo and a Virgo!

Sussex Yorkie

Oh dear, Good Luck.

Ros

I am suddenly less excited about the idea of moving to Scotland...

Vanessa

Hope you've dried out now. Across town, I have water coming up through the floor of the shop's basement...

Oh, dear! I don't deal well with water issues! I hope all is resolved, or at least on the way toward being so. Happy Birthday to you husband. Hope the celebration was grand. The cake sure looks like a winner! Mmmmmmmmmm.

Back to the beach... :)

Only just got to this, Cornflower...better late than never. And I hope you are snug and DRY by now. Also, happy birthday to the lovely Mr C! Is Aug 7th the actual day? I will remember that as it's our wedding anniversary!
