My modest purchase at K1 Yarns this morning was: a skein of Fyberspates 'Scrumptious DK' in Cherry.
This is 55% Bluefaced Leicester Wool and 45% Silk, so both the sheen and the softness are wonderful.
I've got 220m here and fancied some more Cranford Mitts, but there will be a reasonable yardage left over - enough for a shortish scarf perhaps. Any pattern ideas would be most welcome.
Mmm - that yarn does indeed look scrumptious! What a gorgeous sheen it has to it.

Oh, what a lovely colour! I can almost feel it, 45 % silk...
So exciting to see what you'll make of it!

Please give my best regards to Katherine! I got to know her when visiting* her shop in Glasgow. She mentioned that she was opening a second shop in Edinburgh. You are in for a treat - a most interesting, capable lady!
* I am the tall lady with the same accent as her.

With such a gorgeous solid color and all that silk a small scarf with lots of details would be nice. Perhaps Knitspot's That Little Scarf?

What about the scarflette recipe on Bella Knitting's blog? It is simple enough for a knitter to add their own stitch pattern and then there's the joy of choosing buttons!
