I´m struggling with an unfamiliar computer and a strange keyboard, but just wanted to say hello from Switzerland.
Snow is falling here and the weather closing in so I can´t give you a view of the mountains just now, but I hope for good pictures soon.

Are you having a not ski-ing holiday again?? Hope you enjoy it, whatever it is.

Didn't know you were off in search of snow, after all the cold weather we've had in the UK! Only joking, hope you enjoy yourself and that we get a visual display as well as the outside brodcast soon (i.e. piccies of mountains and thingies like that!)

We arrived home from Zermatt two days ago, having had a brilliant week's skiing. Mostly blue skies, though extremely cold, but one day the wind was strong enough to close all but three of the chairlifts. We haven't had a ski holiday for 6 years - after the last time we decided it was wiser to wait until all the children could carry their own skis! One of the beauties of Zermatt is the many mountain restaurants dotted around the slopes, and I decided it was very important to sample coffee or hot chocolate or rum punch or lunch or hot lemon etc etc in as many of these as possible...Despite this somewhat part-time approach to the skiing, I am still stiff all over...

You took a few books with you, didn't you? Enjoy yourself! Cappucino Girl's part-time approach to skiing sounds perfect to me (with a book in hand, of course!).

Now, is there a piano about? I vaguely remember discussion of how to pass non-skiing time and a piano came to mind. Looking forward to your photos...

Hope you're finding lots of cozy places to read, knit, walk and enjoy the sights. Will you be attempting the slopes this year?
We've been having bouts of sun, rain, and snow for the past several days - in Western Oregon, where the tulips are suffering.

Sounds intriguing, Kate. I look forward to the photos.
While you are playing around with the computer, you might like to come and dance at the Froggie Hoedown at Barleycorn :)
