I spotted this Emma Bridgewater mug on Sussexyorkie, and if you go and have a look there you can see what it says on the reverse. I must get one!
And on the subject of really good books, we can all vote for our favourite English language novelists over on Normblog. Who will come top, I wonder.
After yet more deeply frustrating internet connection problems and a long - but apparently successful - conversation with the helpdesk in India, I'm in need of a nice cup of tea and a sit down, or even, a Nice Cup of Tea and a Sit Down - the ultimate guide to biscuits. Perhaps we could have a baked goods poll to go with Norm's bookish one. Hands up anyone else whose approach to a Leibniz is to nibble the chocolate from round the edge first!
I laughed out loud when I read that last bit, yes, I own up! I am an edge nibbler. And as for Kitkats....I only ever eat them in the hope that they will be one of those elusive, almost all chocolate, ones. Why don't I just buy a bar of chocolate? Hmmmm

Me too! And with the Kitkats.

Oh, Nicey and Wife's book Nice Cup of Tea and a Sit Down is wonderful, such fun! And you're not going to believe this: I've taken my copy down from the shelf (as you've reminded me about it) and opened it ... the page? Choco Leibniz! They're not my favourites, though. I prefer those Belgian biscuits which are half-dipped in chocolate or best of all, a delicious piece of shortbread (not shortcake which is an apology for the real thing!)Oh, and I'm not a 'dunker'. I like my biscuits nice and crisp! Not particularly keen on KitKats either, they're too bland.

Love that mug. I don't know about you, but tea on my own is always in a big mug! Not the fine bone china with the impossibly tiny handles for me at that time!

Yes, yes, that is THE ONLY way with Leibniz. Trouble is, I can still go on and eat about 5 at one sitting!

We are lucky enough to have the Bridgewater factory only a few miles up the road from us. The factory shop does seconds which are a fair bit cheaper than the best stuff. I have the HUGE mug from the Black Toast range: http://www.emmabridgewater.co.uk/images/default/en/catalogue/large/BWBR010.jpg

Whilst I find the mug attractive, am I the only one who still prefers tea (or coffee) from a porcelain cup (and saucer)? Tea certainly tastes better - to me, anyway - from 'china' than from lumpen pottery! Our everyday tea cups and saucers are Royal Worcester 'Evesham' because, for us, this is the ideal shape/size tea cup: not too large, not too small, a good handle, and the 'china' is neither too thick nor too thin.

After seeing this terrific mug on your blog I ordered one and it has arrived today. I shall be christening it this evening.
