I've just made a list of all the things that have to be done between now and Monday night, and it's rather long, but I am calm (for the moment at least) and no doubt everything will be finished on time. Thinking of how to simplify preparations - and that's rarely done here as we tend to do most things from scratch - I remembered Mr. C.'s super-easy but extremely good sorbet which would make a great alternative to rich, dark Christmas pudding. You can find the details here.
