Kelly

Beautiful - well done, Karen!

Peter the flautist

Bravo!

Zoe

Very, very nice.

Nora

Beautiful! I love the scalloped cuff.

Ros

That's lovely. And such an achievement. Devising knitting patterns feels just a step too far for me - mainly because of my allergy to unpicking, which I guess is likely to be involved.

But I definitely want to try these when you post your pattern.

Maureen

How lovely. What a shame to hide them with shoes.

Carole

I would definitely knit these. I have difficulty following a pattern for socks sometimes, let alone 'inventing' one. Bravo!

Claire

I am at the moment knitting my very first socks so my admiration knows no bounds.

Margaret Powling

Ooh, they're really pretty! So different from those things which my mother in law used to make whereby she used up all her old wool - all types, all thicknesses - and made what she called Wellington Boot Socks. They kept your feet warm, mind, but they weren't exactly stylish!

Lesley

They've turned out so well!

They've turned out so well!

Francesca

Congratulations on your first pattern! It came out really well. Looking forward to seeing the "real" ones. :)

Debbie

Looks lovely, can't wait for the pattern.

These are gorgeous socks, Cornflower! Could one adapt the pattern for a scarf, do you think? It would look super, I reckon, so any advice on adapting it would be welcome...when you post the pattern.
A future in artistic hosiery clearly awaits you!

a simple yarn

Yep, a work well-done! Hmmm....perhaps a knee-sock version as well?!?!?!

Kathleen

That is a beautiful pattern! I am new to knitting also and am in awe of your pattern!

Murdo

What a beautiful pattern....elegant styling. Interesting that you are thinking of changing the heel, I loved the flow of it.
