Hi Karen: I too own that cookbook, and it is a favourite in this household. I have not tried that recipe, but now seeing how good yours looks, I shall put it on my must try list. You are very wise to keep up the quality control testing as well. Enjoy.

Sounds intriguing...I've eaten lavender cake and caraway seed cake but never rosemary.

And on a Herbidacious note, I'm such an evil auntie that I've stolen my nieces' Herbs video. I've also grown into my mother's bad habit of walking round singing "I'm rather fat feathery owl called Sage, turrum, turrum, at the moment I'm in a terrible rage, turrum, turrum". Suddenly I understand where all those mood swings came from.

Rosemary - one of my favourite herbs. My large bush died this past winter, but I started a new one in a more sheltered spot. I must try a pound cake with Rosemary. I do not have that Nigella book, but you certainly are a great advertisement for it.
My DD is celebrating her b'day in Germany today. Wish I could be there to make her a cake!!

That cake sounds luscious!

A belated happy birthday, Karen! What is the exact day?

This looks fantastic and I'm guessing it it smells and tastes as good as it looks.

Is the title a reference to the wonderful children's series The Herbs?!

Hopefully will have my internet back tonight... am missing the blog world! Currently at work...

Happy Belated Birthday, Karen. I hope you had a lovely day. The cake looks delicious!
