The lovely Lorna's Laces yarn which Avice so kindly sent me recently has been worked up into a sock.
I'm using Nancy Bush's Knitting Vintage Socks again - because it's so comprehensive and I can trust the instructions to work - this time the 'Child's First Sock' (which is actually written for a woman's size) in shell pattern.
This is the most elaborate sock I've tackled to date in my short career, but it was very straightforward, interesting and a great pleasure to make.
The second sock is already underway.
Your sock is beautiful. I always so admire anyone who can knit. It is truly a work of art.

Beautiful yarn and a beautiful sock. I just might have to get that book, along with a dozen or so other books on knitting, cooking and just for pleasure!

Very nice work! As an occasional reviewer of books, would you recommend Nancy Bush's "Vintage Socks" for a more recent convert to the sock knitting business? I'm on my third pair of regular ribbed socks and I think I'm up for a new challenge.

I love the colour of the yarn and the pattern of that sock. You are very talented - wish I could make more than a scarf!
