Over at Bluestalking Reader, Lisa is posting some great pictures; quirky, funny, or just plain beautiful, they are worth looking at. Thanks to Ann, a regular visitor to this site, I have discovered another visually inspiring blog: 3191, compiled by two girls with a great eye for the ordinary as extraordinary. Meanwhile at Happy Things, Amy's "Year of Colour" shots focus on - yes - colour. Looking at all these images gave me the idea to take a few photographs here in the house, linked by a theme. So today I've begun with "leaves" in different forms:

ooooh, I love those begonia pictures! The little hairs on the leaves are so crucial to the depth and texture of the photo.

I was in my garden yesterday, and as I do every spring, I marvel at the shapes of leaves and how many shades of 'green' there are in my garden! I bookmarked the blogs you mentioned and had a real smile at the "Dumpty family disaster".

Love the idea of a theme... I'm going to trot off and think of a theme of my own. Possibilities include: Messes, Scary Things, Possibly Infectious Things, etc.
