Warning: this is an enabling post!
If you click through to the Knitting Daily blog, you'll see designer Vicki Square urging you "to start as many new projects as you can". She doesn't advocate a mindless, indiscriminate to beginning things, but she does talk about creativity being fluid and about variety giving momentum, and after all if you're knitting, sewing, writing, painting, etc. for the process as well as or rather than, primarily, for the result, then this makes sense.
And then if you have the current issue of Country Living magazine and turn to p.162, you'll see a short piece headed 'Cheering News' reporting that a recent study indicates that "doing things that make you happy could be the key to a longer life".
So there you are, start that project today and you'll get stimulation, excitement, new ideas and inspiration, and health benefits, too.
